Australia is currently governed by a right wing party called the Liberal Party. It's Prime Minister, a drooling idiot named Tony Abbott, is a climate denier, the tool of Australia's mining interests and is, among other things, a homophobe (he finds them threatening) and a racist. He also believes that Jesus wants him to keep foreigners (brown people) out of Australia. Abbott himself was born in England. What else? Oh yeah. His reaction to the information that a soldier had been killed in battle was "shit happens"
His latest contribution to Austrailian democracy seems to be to suppress dissent wherever it rears its ugly head. A man wearing an I'm with Stupid t-shirt was arrested as he stood amid a group if campaigners, supposedly for being a public nuisance.
